Well these are the DST forums, opinions here will be biased towards DST for obvious reasons, but my opinion is my opinion and IвЂ™m entitled to it. but it is in no way a clone of anything.ДЄren't you overratingВ Terraria a tad bit too much there? It's a great game no doubt but I'd be hesitant to call it the best indie game ever made, or even superior to Don't Starve Together to begin with. I understand people not liking it because it's too deep, it's too hard, it takes too much time to complete, you don't like 2d games, arena construction takes too long, you don't like studying the wiki for hours, you like roleplay not combat, etc. It's the leader in open world sandbox action games. But don't say terraria is a clone or reskin of anything. You probably gave it like 10minutes, thought it was a minecraft or starbound clone and called it quits. You choose the order of bosses you kill, and you can even take out harder bosses much earlier with sheer skill and strategy. Each and every boss is completely unique, requires a ton of strategy and preparation beforehand to defeat, and there's many viable strategies.ДЄnd the game is also not linear.

You just summon and kill bosses, get stronger with their loot, summon and kill more bosses, get stronger with their loot, all the way to the end. The game is a pure game, no roleplay, quests, or other stuff like that. I had more fun playing a summoner in Terraria than any game I've played and I've played diablo2, 3, every single isometric rpg out there like nwn, baldur's gate, etc. Terraria is one of the exceptionally few games where a summoner is not only viable, but done well as well. Soooooo many unique playstyles that is derived from the sheer combination of all the gears. Hunting mobs for their loot in the many unique biomes except instead of something ridiculous like 0.001% drop rate, its at most 1-5%. An entire world to explore in all directions. The experience is like your own personal mmorpg. I enjoyed/В Still deeply enjoyВ DS/DST BECAUSE it was different- I actively seek out games that arenвЂ™t just a reskin of something IвЂ™ve already played a hundred times before. Now a game I DO like that IвЂ™ve recently gotten into playing is one on Xbox Gamepass called Man Eater, you play as a shark but with a GTA wanted level system based on how many humans you chomp? Whatttt thatвЂ™s crazy, and different from all the вЂњSame-ishвЂќ feeling games out there. If any of you Terraria Devs are reading my post- donвЂ™t feel too hard on yourself for me not liking the game, IвЂ™m just one person and IвЂ™ll have you know I also tried Back 4 Blood the over hyped so called sequel to L4D 2, I did not like that game either. However I do have good news for anyone who did like it- the Terraria Devs have confirmed that the DST Crossover content will indeed be coming to the Console & Mobile versions of Terraria вЂњEventually.вЂќ on multiple occasions to see if I liked it- I didnвЂ™t I tried it, itвЂ™s not my type of game (probably because IвЂ™ve played hundreds of games identical to it) but I tried it.
